Hank & Henny are both
Australian Shepards. The geese
believe the dogs move and act
as if they were both foxes,
motivating the geese to leave.
Hank has had on-the-job
training since he was a
one-year-old puppy. His new
intern, Henny, is now following
in Hank’s footsteps. They both
take their job very seriously!
The growing need for geese to
go has added an additional two
members to the crew. Cory
O’Farrell will be helping Bill out
along with a third Australian
Shepard in the springtime.
The company
has a long-standing history of
impeccable success keeping
geese off of both residential
and corporate properties from
Southampton to East Hampton
and everywhere in between.
-It usually takes 3-6 weeks to get
results.
-Then, it is a maintenance process.
-If there is a massive geese
problem, Hank & Henny will visit
every day for six days per week.
-One day during the week, Hank
& Henny unwind on the boat with
Bill.
-Inspect the property.
-Hank & Henny remain on their
respective leash.
-Bill lets Hank & Henny off their
leashes to become comfortable
with the property.
-If geese are on the property, Hank
& Henny will survey the situation
and round them up. The geese
eventually become aware of the
presence of the dogs, learning to
leave the area.
-Hazardous to the health of
children.
-Hazardous to your pet’s
health.
-Hazardous to your carpeting in
the house.
Hank lived in Westchester, NY
with a family who could no
longer care for him. Bill Pell,
lover of dogs, adopted Hank at
10 months old, gave him a job
and a roof over his head. Hank
now has an intern, Henny. Hank,
Henny and Bill are inseparable.
Hank and Henny enjoy long runs
on the beach, boat rides, and
most of all, stealing bones out
of the cupboard while Bill is
looking the other way.
-Use of trained dogs to chase
geese is among the most
effective techniques available
today.
-This method is widely used to
disperse geese from golf courses,
parks, athletic fields and
corporate properties.
-Chasing must be done for
several weeks, after which less
frequent but regular patrols will
still be needed.
